How to Clean Your North Face Denali

Week long backpacking trip and your North Face Denali is a little funky? Spilled your latte on your fleece? No matter what the reason sometimes you need to clean your fleece. Throw it in the wash, dry clean, or hand wash? This is what you do.

1. Turn the fleece inside out. This prevents piling.

2. Place the fleece in your washing machine.

3. Put some NIKWAX Tech Wash or liquid detergent in your washing machine's detergent dispenser. The NIKWAX will protect the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish on the fleece.

4. Complete a normal wash and rinse cycle with cool or warm water.

5. Hang-dry or tumble-dry on a low setting.

Act responsibly and always follow the care label on your fleece, but remember do not wash with towels or the fleece will be covered in lint; do not wash with a powdered detergent or the fleece will be covered in detergent residue; do not use bleach or fabric softener or the fleece will be covered with stains; and finally do not dry the fleece on high heat, iron the fleece, or dry clean the fleece or the fleece will melt. If all else fails find a new North Face Denali fleece.
